My sister is addicted to chai. How can she quit. Please give some advise
-
How often does she drink chai?
-
Is the chai that she drinks very strong?
-
Also, does she drink regular chai or masala chai?
It’ll be easier for me to suggest strategies to quit chai if I know these points. Having said that, the most important thing is
- to be aware about the habit and
- consciously want to give it up.
Giving up chai can be difficult for many, so it’s important to keep coming back even if she fails the first or second time. It’s also important to be kind to oneself in the process so she is motivated to stick to her goal. The easiest way is to either quit one cup per day or dilute the chai or replace it with another transitioning alternative. You will find some of these transitioning alternatives if you click on this link.
She drinks thrice a day
She drinks with adrak and elaichi
She doesn’t make is strong just normal
Thank you for the response. I think it will be relatively easy for her to give it up. I suggest she start by deciding to replace just one cup of tea with any transitioning beverage like the ones in this link. Once she gets into that routine in a few days, she can focus on the second cup of tea and replace that. If she is up to it, she can also replace the third one at the same time or else focus on replacing this last hurdle after she is comfortable with the first two. Once she has overcome this challenge, she can then focus on having a healthier drink like a green smoothie (here’s the link) or simply switch to eating fruit, which is so much easier than making a beverage every time.
Let me know if this helps and if you need any more support.
